🕹 The Company

The Fab City Foundation supports the Fab City Global Initiative by developing projects and educational programs focused on building locally productive and globally connected capacities for cities and their communities. Based in e-Estonia, the Foundation is location independent and supports distributed research, programs and projects worldwide. We work with UNIDO, Fab Foundation, MIT Center for Bit and Atoms and the European Commission Research Programs.

🎯 Open Positions

These are the postings we have right now. However, there are always a million things happening while working in networks and there are so many things we could use help on that we may not even know yet. If you're curious and self-driven and would want to contribute but ‘your thing’ is not on this list, send us an email anyway at [email protected]

We currently have no open positions - please check back later!

🔊 Open Calls

The global network has many open calls available at different times. See our current openings below. Again, if you're curious and self-driven and would want to contribute but ‘your thing’ is not on this list, send us an email anyway at [email protected]

👀 The Vision

Our organisation aims to:

1) Support a paradigm shift from PITO to DIDO

Fab City builds on the ideals of the Fab Lab such as connectivity, culture, glocalism and creativity, and scales it to the City. It implements the logic ‘from bits to atoms’ at the urban scale using the model: PITO (Product In Trash Out) to DIDO (Data In Data Out). We’re building sustainable ecosystems of production and knowledge.
